Big Red’s Best Dog Life Ever! Let Me Show You!
My name is Red, and I am the proud owner of the blogger of this dog clothes website. She is super nice to me, and I love her with my whole dog heart! I am part Heeler, part Proud American Mutt. I would like to share my doggie lifestyle with you.
Today is Halloween. I do so love Halloween. However, I have heard strange growlings at the dog park. Last Saturday I was walking so well in my excellent dog harness and found out that some of my buddies are upset because they do not get to dress up. Why not? It is a great way for you to meet other hairless, 2 legged friends. I am so happy to see all the people that talk to my person because I look so fabulous!
Also, a few of my colleagues have been making little comments about the parade of trick or treaters making them a little nervous. I always ask my owner to take me out in my costume before the little two legged one’s show up. That way, I can strut my stuff and let off a little steam before the big night. This really helps me to not be edgy. You should suggest this to your person for next year.
My only complaint is that I don’t get to eat the little people treats in the big orange bowl. My person always puts that bowl out of my reach. She says that it is very dangerous for me to eat chocolate and two legged people treats. Instead, she gets some special doggie treats for me to munch on, and she even lets me eat them while I am in my costume. As long as she makes sure that there are straps or rubber bands under my chin. Like I said, I have trained her well!
I am looking forward to showing you the other exciting things that I do, after a little nap of course.
Where I live in Colorado, the weather turns on a dime. We’ve had snow in June, and snow in Aug. So I always have to prepare my pooches for cold weather.
I have two herding dogs, Trixy and Turbo. Trixy is a little Aussie and she is very, very smart and industrious! When I first brought her home, she was bored and ate five coaches!!! Then, I adopted a little Eskie to keep her company while I am not home. No more coach eating. The key is that they play together outside, and this keeps them happy for a while if I have to go out without them.
I also have a GIANT Rottie!! Her name is Rosy, and she is just the greatest giant dog. She loves to dress up and there is nothing more cute than a large rottie in cute dog clothes. The only problem is that it is hard to find clothes to fit her. No need to worry about finding a sweater to fit her. Our new Acrylic Mohair sweaters easily fit Large dogs up to 120lbs.
Now that it is fall, I never know what the Colorado weather will be like in the next couple of hours. I would hate to have my little coach eating rascals get too cold to play outside and force me to buy yet another sofa!! So I make sure that my wee doggy darlings are in doggy sweaters when they are out doors.
Ridiculous you say? Consider that dogs can be physically traumatized just like people by cold temperatures. Dogs can get hypothermia, frostbite and can die if too cold. Especially true for our little ones, and our younger and older pals.
The other benefit is all of the attention Trixy and Turbo get at the dog park. Everyone wants to talk to me when we arrive in style. I think it can be a little corny to dress our kids in matching outfits, but it is fun to dress my two trouble makers in matching sweaters. Trixy loves the extra attention and her happy nature is amplified with all of the admiration she gets when she has on the cutest sweater.
So, lets keep our dogs warm and stylish this winter with a sweater or jacket. We will feel so much better knowing that our friends are comfortable and safe.

Besides having your dog looking great wearing the lastest fashions, you will want your dog to also be on its best behavior when out walking and meeting new people. When you meet someone on the street and they want to say “hello” to your dog, the proper etiquette is for your dog to sit at your left side when being introduced. You want your pal to pay attention and be polite. Training your dog the proper social behavior when interacting with others is very important. A well behaved dog is a good reflection on you, the owner. You may want to consider a dog training program, if your dog does not listen to your commands. New for Spring Dog Harness
Spring is the best time of year. The weather is warming and their are signs of green in the trees. Many people are trying to get back into shape so they can wear their summer bathing suits. Many of us need to lose those extra pounds we gained over the winter. I have found the best way to get exercise on a regular basis is by walking my dogs. Even on those days that I don’t particularly feel like going for a walk, my dogs will be sure to remind me when it is that time. Your dog needs plenty of exercise. It is recommended that you walk you dog two times a day. What a great way for you and your dog to get and stay in shape. Take that walk every day and your best friend will be grateful to you for it. And don’t forget to get your pal a new dog harness for spring.
Dog Strutting his/her dog Sweatshirt
Spring is in the air. Daylight savings time has happened and we have an extra hour of daylight in the evening. What a great time for you and your best friend to go out and get exercise, breathe the spring air, and meet new friends, both dog and human, and socialize with your neighbors.
Our country has an obesity problem, for both humans and pets. A good diet and exercise is the best way to lose those extra pounds and get in shape. Why not make it a dual affair. Take your dog for at least one walk a day, preferably two and watch both you and your pet shed those extra pounds that you put on at the holidays. You will both have much more energy for doing so. It is also a great time to strut your new spring fashions. Have you pet wear a dog sweatshirt on those chilly spring mornings.
Dog Snowsuit for Winter
Taking your dog for a walk. You can take your dog out for a walk even in winter. If it’s cold out consider putting your pet in a dog snowsuit. Exercise is important to a dog’s well-being. Adult dogs need to burn off excess energy to prevent weight gain. Also, if dogs are denied the level of physical and mental activity they need, their energy may be channeled into unwanted behavior.
Two walks a day are usually sufficient for most adult dogs, but the length of the walk may need to be varied according to the breed and age of the dog. Varying your routes on walks to take in different sights and sounds can increase your dog’s confidence and interest.
Dog Robes
How often do you need to bathe your dog? That question has multiple answers. It can depend on the breed, whether you show your dog, and the dog’s individual behavior. If it rolls around in smelly substances twice a day, it will need a bath twice a day.
It is important to gather all your equipment before you start. Once the dog is soaking wet and covered in shampoo, running off to get the towels may not be such a good idea. Here is a list of things you may need.
- Absorbent cotton for their ears
- Dog shampoo, plus a container in which to dilute it
- Bath, sink or large container if in the yard
- Rubber mat for the bottom of the tub to prevent slipping
- Dog towels and/or a dog robe
- Brush or comb
- Hairdryer
