Holiday Dog Coats
I can’t hardly believe how quickly the holidays are nearing. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years….WOW…I am so unprepared. The weather is changing, trees….just the whole look. You can feel it in the air, so can your dog. I know the holiday season is hectic, lots and lots to do. It is so hard to plan ahead and get motivated sometimes. When you start shopping for everyone don’t forget your pet will be right there wagging its tail and waiting.
If you include your dog as a Christmas recipient you may want to consider a dog coat as a present. Dogs in coats are so cute, but really when it gets cold a dog sweatshirt or dog coat is a great gift for your pooch. Just because they have fur doesn’t mean they don’t get cold. A dog coat as a present is a very logical gift…besides the fact that when it’s time for the “family” photo your dog will look great. “Happy Prelude” to the upcoming Season Festivities….

Dog Coats
The Fall Season is here!!! You can already feel the chill in the air. Leaves are filling lawns. Grass is turning brown. Summer is over…..with each passing day the Holidays are nearing, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and then New Year’s is right around the corner.
The chill will be quickly followed by the cold of Winter and snow is inevitable. Dogs like people DO get cold. Obviously they are more equipped with fur to keep them warm, but they still get cold. Dressing your dog in a sweatshirt, jacket or dog coat helps maintain warmth if the built in dog coat
isn’t quite sufficient. Plus of course your dog will look cute and stylish.

Use a Dog Car Safety Belt When Traveling
Traveling with your dog should be an enjoyable experience. Teach your dog what behavior is expected while in the car. Keep your dog as still as possible while in the car. You don’t want it to interfere with your driving, and it is safer for the dog too.
Use a dog car safety belt to keep the dog properly restrained. Your dog will not be thrown forward, should you have to hit your brakes hard, nor will it be able to escape when the door is opened and possibly run into traffic.
Communicating With Your Dog
Dogs are intelligent and learn quickly. They do not understand everything we say, however, they rely on our body movements, the tone of our voices and key words. Be patient with you dog. Provide motivation for him or her to learn. This can be in the form of a treat, petting or by giving verbal praise. Make sure you give your dog clear signals and use your body language and facial expressions. Dogs learn more through visual signals than auditory ones. Offer lots of praise and encouragement for a job well done and your dog will repeat it in the future.
Just how we express ourselves through the clothes we wear, we can let our dogs use dog clothing for expression also.
