Be sure to measure your dog before ordering dog clothes. It’s quite important that the clothes fit comfortably. They should attach tightly enough that it doesn’t slip off, yet be loose enough that it doesn’t dig into your dog’s skin.

Be sure the coats and sweaters are right for your type of dog and your local weather and will protect your pet from the elements. And don’t forget the dog rain coat for the cold rainy weather.

Consider boots for dogs that are in the colder snowy climates as the ice and snow and salt are hard on a dogs paw.

Dogs love walking with their owners. They let you know when it’s time to suit up and put on your sneakers by wagging their tails when it’s time to go outside. Here are some useful things you should know about dog walking:

~Keep him on a leash so he can’t get away easily as this might cause problems in case he chases a child or other dogs
~Check for dog restrictions in areas you plan to walk in
~Dress him up in a dog rain coat when you go walking out in the rain
~Carry plastic bags to scoop any poop in case your pet drops one in the sidewalk
~Bring along water for both you and your dog
~Rest and find a shady spot every now and then
