Dog Clothes

How often do you need to bathe your dog? That question has multiple answers. It can depend on the breed, whether you show your dog, and the dog’s individual behavior. If it rolls around in smelly substances twice a day, it will need a bath twice a day.

It is important to gather all your equipment before you start. Once the dog is soaking wet and covered in shampoo, running off to get the towels may not be such a good idea. Here is a list of things you may need.

• Absorbent cotton for their ears
• Dog shampoo, plus a container in which to dilute it
• Bath, sink or large container if in the yard
• Rubber mat for the bottom of the tub to prevent slipping
• Dog towels and/or a dog robe
• Brush or comb
• Hairdryer
